Regional wage surveys are valuable resources for economic and workforce development agencies and private and public businesses of all sizes across all industries. Horizon Point Consulting, Inc. administers regional wage surveys through partnerships with Economic Development Agencies (EDAs), Chambers of Commerce, and Trade/Professional Organizations. 

Horizon Point designs and administers annual and biannual wage and benefit surveys for the North Alabama region. In 2021, 146 businesses participated in Horizon Point’s wage and benefit surveys and provided meaningful benchmark wage data for 150 jobs and benefit data for 18 benefit categories. 

Participating businesses had online access to interactive, filterable results within 10 business days of the survey close date. Horizon Point also published official Summary and Detailed reports, including specialized reports for Government Contractors and Manufacturers, as well as a Results Interpretation Guide. 

For the 2021 North Central Alabama Wage and Benefit Survey, 45% of participants were Government Contractors, and 57% were Manufacturers. Government contractors and manufacturers are highly concentrated in the region, and benchmark data specific to such businesses is a critical need. Horizon Point was able to provide specialized reports with wage and benefit data specific to government contractors and manufacturers. 

Horizon Point worked closely with local EDA and Chamber partners to design the wage and benefit survey to include job leveling and meet other reporting requirements for government contractors. All wage and benefit surveys designed by Horizon Point are highly customized for the needs of the region.
