Started in 2006 by the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA), Alabama Launchpad is the state’s most active early-stage seed fund investor, driving innovation and job growth through startup competitions and ongoing mentoring for Alabama entrepreneurs.

 

In 2021, Horizon Point was asked to serve as an advisor for finalists during each cycle of the competition.  Horizon Point spends six to eight weeks coaching these entrepreneurs on human resource practices, organizational design and development, and effective leadership practices through a customized mentoring approach.  The goal is to help entrepreneurs across the state scale their businesses in order to create economic impact in Alabama.

Horizon Point continues to partner with EDPA to mentor approximately thirty start-ups each year.
